Take home some island art and keep St Martin close to your heart!

There is nothing better to inspire artistic talent than the beauty of mother nature and the colorful Caribbean culture. No surprise then that St Martin/St Maarten is home to over 50 artists from every field and medium who bring to life the 'joie de vivre' of our multinational cultures. From intricate ceramics, striking sculptures, gentle watercolors to bold oils and acrylics and hand fashioned jewelry and clothing, the melting pot that is our island is epitomized in the creativity that comes out of it. There are art galleries all over the island and many of the artists welcome enthusiasts and amateurs alike for viewings, to watch them at work or to join an art class.

Don't miss 'Art in the Park' every February at the Emilio Wilson Park and the first Thursday of every March is the start of 'Art Lovers Weekend' where most of the island's artists come together for a celebration of creation and to throw open their doors to visitors from across the world.
